Spain Day 2018

12 de Octubre! Today is National Spain Day. Possibly the biggest national holiday here. It also marks the second anniversary of our arrival to Valencia. It was quite a Day...jet lag, 9 people + 13 bags into 3 taxis, almost all businesses and groceries were closed for the holiday...yep. It is a wild ride. 2 years into this adventure and still nearly every day brings new mistakes, laughter, frustrations, surprises, treats, tastes, friends, sadness, joy, AMAZING weather, connection, mispronunciations, confusion, and enrichment. We are happy. We are human. We have grown. We have failed. We have succeeded. We have done and seen things that exploded our brains. We have hugged, encouraged, reprimanded, lectured, taught, snorted, and loved eachother through great moments and tough ones. So, we’re pretty much like most families. And I am completed proud and amazed by this crew. Can’t wait to see what the future brings. ...I hope it brings more great food.
